The Illinois Department of Transportation is seeking feedback on the state’s current transportation system. The Illinois Traveler Opinion Survey is available now through December 31st, through the idot.illinois.gov website. Transportation Secretary Randy Blankenhorn stated, “We look forward to the public’s input each year as an opportunity to improve and grow transportation in Illinois. As the transportation hub of North America, the viability of our system deeply impacts state and national commerce, along with providing safe and economic travel for Illinois residents.” The annual survey is conducted with the University of Illinois Springfield, who seeks feedback on topics ranging from road conditions, to ice-and-snow removal, to commuting habits, and driving behaviors. This survey has been conducted annually since 2001. Again that survey is online at idot.illinois.gov and will be available for all Illinois residents from now until December 31st.
