Illinois Realtors’ reports that Illinois statewide home sales were up by 1.9-percent in the month of April from last year. 5 homes were sold in Washington County last month, which is the same number we saw in April 2017. In Clinton County, 23 homes were sold in April, down by 4 houses or by 15-percent from last year. The Statewide Median Price in April was at $210,000, up by 5.5-percent from April 2017. The median is a typical market price where half the homes sold for more and half sold for less. In Washington County, the median price was up by 133-percent from last year, for a figure of $140,000. In 2017, it was at $60,000. The median price in Clinton County was $136,000, up from $100,000 or by 36-percent from April of 2017. So far this year, 25 homes have been sold in Washington County, with an average price of $126,000. Clinton County has 72 homes sold in 2018 so far, with an average price being $124,450. Homes were on the market an average of 54 days in Illinois, down from 61 days in April 2017. In Washington County, homes were on the market for an average of 184 days, up from 168 days in April 2017.
