The Nashville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors met yesterday afternoon and want to remind Chamber members of the Christmas Gathering next Wednesday at Buretta’s in Nashville beginning at 5:30 with appetizers.  Please call Chamber Director Doris Povolish at 327-3700 to let her know how many of your business workers will be coming, so they can have enough appetizers prepared.  It was reported that there were approximately 100 kids that saw Santa on Santa Saturday.  Each one of them got a movie pass to the Nashville State Theater, compliments of the Moose Lodge, as well as it being good for a popcorn and drink, compliments of the Fraternal Order of Police of Nashville.  Santa will have more hours on Saturday’s, as well as the days right before Christmas at the newly renovated L & N Train Depot in Nashville.  Membership information for next year is being mailed out to businesses in the community, both current members and to other businesses that could benefit from being a Chamber member.  The Board accepted the resignation of Alana England, who has been transferred from the Nashville Kroger to the Mount Vernon store for the next year.  The Board will seek a replacement for her to bring the Board back up to 7 members.  Yesterday was Director Povolish’s birthday, so if you want to, give her a call and wish her a belated birthday.
