A man from Odin pleads guilty on Thursday to 2 of his 9 child sex assault charges he was facing. 48-year-old Delbert Trainor was facing 9 separate Class X felony counts of predatory criminal sexual assault, with 8 of those charges specifying the age of the victim being under 13. Attorneys in the case confirmed a June 10th jury trail date, with the trial being vacated on Thursday, on the remaining 7 counts he faces. A pre-sentencing hearing was held that same day, on the 2 charges he pled guilty to. Trainor is accused of sexually assaulting or abusing 5 children, over multiple years, dating back to at least early 2016. He has been in the Marion County Jail since his January arrest, with bail at $500,000.
