A man from Southern Illinois is set sentenced to life in prison, after killing a mother and her unborn child.  60-year-old Rodney Black was sentenced on Tuesday, after he was convicted last month to 1st-degree murder, in the 2015 killing of Latisha Reidelberger, and the child that she was carrying.  Black was scheduled to be sentenced last week, but his attorneys had asked for more time in the case to consider a motion for a new trial, and for a pre-sentencing investigation.  The judge in the case denied those motions, with Black reportedly serving life in prison, concurrent to a 20-year sentence he was given for attacking a jail guard back in September 2015.  Reidelberger’s family members say that the life sentence was the outcome that they we relooking for in the case, and that they are glad that it is all over.
