Attorneys for the man accused of kidnapping and killing a University of Illinois scholar from China says that they should be ready for his trail, which will begin on July 1st.  A judge already denied a request to delay the proceedings until October from Brendt Christensen’s attorneys.  Prosecutors are trying to prove that Christensen kidnapped and killed 26-year-old Yingying Zhang back in 2017.  The trial was originally scheduled to begin back in September 2017, however, it has been delayed on two different occasions.  Prosecutors are also seeking the death penalty on Christensen.  His attorneys were seeking additional time so that a psychiatrist could be ready for the trail.
