Washington County Hospital and their Board of Directors met last week for a regular monthly meeting.  At that meeting, it was announced that June 2019 net operating revenue fell by 9/7-percent, equaling $112,961 below the target.  Total operating expenses were 7.3-percent under budget, or right around $89,133.  The net operating revenue deficit did exceed favorable expenses, resulting in a loss of operating funds by $73,569 for the month of June.  Net income for June was at $41,684, versus the budget net loss of $15,019.  Also at the meeting, an ordinance to approve the budgeted FY 2020 budget, by Department and Ordinance 165 in regard to the 2020 fiscal year budget through the Department of Tax Allocation.  The meeting also saw an update of expansion of surgical services, the exploration of opportunity for a cancer care clinic, and an opportunity for shared services between facilities.  Their next meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 27th.
