The Memorial Park Board in Nashville met last night.  They are waiting for the final report on the pool and how it did this summer.  The board needs to get some lights fixed on the basketball court and found that the problem is not in the wiring, but in bulbs that are out, so they will be contacting someone to get those changed out.  The lighted tennis courts closest to the ball diamonds are in need of repair with cracks and other problems and they will have someone come in to look at the situation in the spring.  They agreed to have the ball diamond parking lot roped off as soon as no one is using the fields.  This is to keep the parking lot in good shape after work was done to it.  The Board discussed the safety issues at the ball diamond complex.  President Steve Fletcher explained the power box gets overloaded when the lights at diamond 2 are on.  This is an issue, especially when power is needed for the pavilion, which is tied together.  They need to be separated and service sent to each location, so they are safer and not overloaded.  They approved this and will seek bids to get the work started to have the situation remedied for next season.  Finally, the Board talked about the need to look for new caretakers, as Bob & Stella Kozusek are resigning and will be gone at the end of the season after approximately 15 years of service.  The next meeting will be on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 7:30 PM.
