There was an accident Thursday afternoon involving a Sherman school bus.  The accident report has the accident occurring on Oakdale Blacktop at Rhode Island Road as a Jeep driven by 24-year old Cortney M. Miller of DuQuoin ran into the rear of the school bus, which was stopped in traffic, causing the Jeep to go off the road into a ditch, where it rolled onto its side.  She reported that her brakes were not working properly.  The bus driver, 62-year old Earl W. Yon of Opdyke, had just let off the last child for the day.  There was no report of any injuries as Miller refused treatment.  There was no mention of any citations issued.  This accident caused another accident, but that report is not completed, but there were no injuries reported.
