A teenager from Virginia, who is accused of the January armed robbery of a Nashville gas station, has his jury trial set for later this summer. 18-year-old Jordan Macbeth of Virginia appeared at the Washington County courthouse on Tuesday. During that appearance, it was ruled that his jury trial will begin on August 20th. A status hearing for Macbeth was scheduled for a week before his court date on August 14th. He was charged back on January 31st to a Class X felony for armed robbery of the Little Nashville BP Gas Station. Police say that a male suspect entered the station at approximately 4pm on January 31st and displayed a handgun, before departing the store in a grey 2016 Toyota Corolla. The vehicle also had out-of-state license plates. Authorities stated that the same man had been seen fueling his vehicle approximately 25 minutes before committing the armed robbery. Macbeth then turned himself into the Madera County Sheriff’s Office in California on February 10th. If convicted of the Class X felony, Macbeth could be sentenced 6 to 30 years in prison. An additional 15 years could potentially be added onto the sentence if the Washington County State’s Attorney can prove that a firearm was used in the incident. He is currently at the Washington County Jail with $250,000 bond set. He was also arrested in regard to a warrant for deserting the United States Army.
