The Illinois High School Association has given no word yet on summer workouts for high schools, due to Covid-19 concerns.  Under normal circumstances, prep teams would be having their summer workouts starting this week, however another delay was released on summer contact days.  IHSA Executive Director Craig Anderson issued a statement on Tuesday saying, “I recognize that the IHSA schools, students and coaches are anxiously ready to return to play guidelines to be released, but we are awaiting for the Illinois Department of Public Health to give us the okay to optimize safety for the students in Illinois.”  Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois plan, which permits gatherings of no more than 10 people.  Youth baseball and softball have been given the okay to practice, with a max of 10 players at a time and no water fountains available at facilities.
