Carlyle High School has decided to return back to 11-man football this upcoming spring, after voting on playing 8-man football for the fall back in January.  Carlyle has decided to reconsider its decision on the move to 8-man football, since there is the re-alignment of the Cahokia conference this upcoming fall 2021.  Also this upcoming spring, there will be a merger between the Prairie State conference and the Cahokia Conference, with some teams that Carlyle would play this spring being Madison, Dupo, Red Bud, Wesclin and Nakomis.  After this spring, and starting next fall, Carlyle will be apart of the newly aligned Cahokia conference and join Red Bud, Chester, Sparta, Wesclin and Dupo as a conference.  Practice for football starts February 15th and game begin March 5th
