WAYNE COUNTY — Two people were formally charged Monday in Wayne County Court with delivery of up to 100 grams of methamphetamine.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, a joint operation with Wayne City Police resulted in the arrests last week of 43-year-old Paxton D. Bruce of Wayne City and 35-year-old Heather N. Crow of Evansville on meth and weapons charges.

 

On Monday, Bruce was formally charged with Class X felony delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of meth, and Class 3 felonies for possession of less than 5 grams of meth and criminal fortification of a residence or building.

Crow was charged with two counts Class X felony delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of meth and Class 1 felony possession of between 15 and 100 grams of meth.

According to the sheriff’s office, around 9:30 p.m. on September 7, law enforcement executed a search warrant at a rural Keenes residence where they arrested Bruce and Crow.

Following their arrests, a search was conducted of the home. Bruce was reportedly found to be in possession of a loaded altered “sawed-off” shotgun with additional suspected meth.
