SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — A new report out by the World Alzheimer’s Association says that the disease remains on the rise, in part, because of poor detection.

Alzheimer’s is a cause Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton holds close in her heart, after being a caregiver for her mother who suffered from the disease.

Lt. Governor Stratton proudly announced Wednesday that the State of Illinois is taking the lead in the country in addressing the needs of not only those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia, but their loved ones and caregivers, as well, and has launched a new website at ilbrainhealth.org.

Stratton says the website gives people the opportunity to find resources they need and also to know they’re not alone in their battle.
Again, that website is ilbrainhealth.org.
