The Nashville Chamber of Commerce met yesterday for the General Membership meeting. Treasurer Darlene Schomaker gave the financial report, which included a rundown of receipts and disbursements for the month of June. There is $20,493.41 in the bank account, while there is $2,945.16 in the Nashville Dollars account. During the Secretary’s report, the members were asked when they would like to have the minutes emailed to them before this meeting. It was a consensus to send them out at the end of the day on the Tuesday before the Wednesday meeting. Executive Director Davanna Behr says announcements can be put on the facebook page and if you want to send her something and it includes an image, try to send it as a pfd file. She reported that Fall Festival letters went out to all members and those who were involved last year. If you did not get one, contact the office at 327-3700. They are still meeting on the 3rd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at noon in the Chamber office and volunteers are still needed. Farmers Markets Senior Coupons are available through the Chamber office, so stop in and purchase those. The Monday evening Farmers Market from 4 to 7 PM begins on July 14th and runs through the last Monday of August. There has been a new barber shop and liquor – smoke shop open in town recently, so keep an eye out for some ribbon cutting ceremonies coming up.
