A woman from Sandoval remains in prison, after she was arrested this past weekend for an alleged child abduction.  Salem police say that 28-year-old Siara Stokes, of Sandoval, allegedly does not have custody of her 10-year-old son, but left with him following a supervised visitation on Saturday night, at the boy’s home in Salem, where he was living with a relative.  After being notified of the incident, police were able to find Stokes and pinpoint her location through her cell phone, where she was located at a home in Jefferson County.  Deputies reportedly located her, then transported her to the county line, where she was handed over to Salem police for questioning.  The 10-year-old boy reportedly was then turned over to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, where further action will be taken.  Stokes was then taken to the Marion County Jail, where she awaits formal filing of charges and for bail to be set.
