Illinois lawmakers head back to the Illinois Capitol this week, with lawmakers due back in session today for the last day of the 100th General Assembly.  Democratic Governor elect JB Pritzker will take over for incumbent Republican Bruce Rauner, after 4 years of an ideological stalemate that prevented a state spending plan for 2 straight years.  On Monday, newly elected governor JB Pritzker will take his oath of office, with a new General Assembly preparing to begin work.  2 new legislators from our area will also be sworn in, including Jason Plummer as the new State Senator for the 54th district, and 107th district State Representative John Cavaletto.
