The Mt. Vernon Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office executed an early morning search warrant on Wednesday, with their High Risk Team, after an investigation was conducted into a Mt. Vernon Residence, which led to the arrest of 3 individuals.  According to police, at around 615am on Wednesday, members of the High Risk Team executed a search warrant at a home along the 4100 block of Willow Springs Road, in regard to ongoing narcotics investigations in Mt. Vernon.  That led to the confiscation of meth and drug equipment, with 39-year-old Terry Turner, 20-year-old Toni Latchford and 34-year-old Tacarra Young all being arrested for possession of methamphetamine.  The 3 were transported to the Jefferson County Jail, where Turner and Latchford were later released without charge, with Young being formally charged with a Class 1 felony for delivery of meth, and bail set at $50,000.
