The Washington County Hospital Board of Directors met last week for a regular scheduled monthly meeting.  Under the administrative report, it was announced that patient revenue was below the anticipated budget, being under 3.9-percent for the month of November.  Net operating revenue was at $79,976, up by 7.3-percent, operating income was at $45,866 in November, with the operating loss for the year to date at $86,407 and favorable to the YTD budget by over $183,000.  The board approved a transition to local Edward Jones office agent Harry Easley as their retirement plan agent, effective as of February 2019.  Dr. Davidson will be departing from the hospital at the end of this month, with a related communication being sent out to patients.  Recruitment efforts are currently underway, with the focus being to add physicians and advance practice providers.  The call coverage is a key recruitment component for WCH and a new model will also be implemented in the near future.  3 new physicians were approved for membership and privileges, including Dr. Ronald Weiss in Cardiology, Dr. Mickey Chabak in Radiology and Dr. Dean Leslie in Radiology.  Also one allied health professional completed the required Focused Professional Practice Evaluation.  The next board of directors meeting for Washington County Hospital will be on Wednesday, January 30th.
