The Nashville High School Marching Band performed their last show at the 22nd Annual Mardi Gras Field Show at Pinckneyville High School on Saturday.  They placed 2nd over all out of 5 bands in Class 1A.  They were edged out by Wesclin Marching Band out of Trenton.  The flag core did capture 1st place in Class 1A though.  According to NCHS Band Director, Steve Browne, it was their best performance of the year.  Earlier in the year they competed at McKendree University’s Preview of Champions, which pit them against schools that were up to 4 or 5 times the size of NCHS, but this time they were performing against schools of the same size.
