The Nashville Police Department was somewhat busier last week than the previous week, answering 12 calls, but only responding to 1 accident.  According to the reports, they responded to a battery and 2 domestic incidents, along with an altercation at the Washington County Hospital Emergency Room involving a patient and boyfriend.  They also assisted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office with moving some cows along.  Also, on Wednesday, they responded to a call of a male selling steaks on South Grand Avenue.  They told 23-year old Jacob L. Guenther of Leesville, Louisiana that he needed a permit, which he didn’t have, so they escorted him out of town.  There was an accident a week ago yesterday as two vehicles were getting off Interstate 64 at the Nashville exit.  22-year old Jacy Carpenter of O’Fallon, Illinois rear-ended a vehicle driven by 47-year old Anne Hruz of Manchester, Missouri.  No one was injured and no citations were issued.
