The power in Washington County was restored by Tri-County Electric Cooperative at approximately 6 o’clock last night.  Bruce Barkau, Director of Member Services, tells WNSV that the poles and lines were completed yesterday evening, but then they had to get the substation back online, as some of the poles down delivered power to the substation.  Barkau said there was not damage there, so the power went on.  There are residences that had physical damage to them, therefore they might not have power, but Barkau says if you feel you are a TCEC member and should have power and don’t, call 618-244-5151 to report the outage.  General Manager Marcia Scott said all of their crews and 8 additional contracted crews were out making repairs in the area beginning Sunday and had little or no sleep, as they worked to get the power restored.  She says the tornado tore down over 50 poles, some which are transmission poles to the substation.  Some power was restored earlier yesterday morning, but that was not very many customers.
