Deer hunting season seemed to be in full swing for motorists in the past couple of weeks in Nashville. According to the Nashville Police Department, they responded to 5 accidents involving a vehicle hitting a deer with no injuries to the motorists. One occurred on November 11th at 4:36 AM on Route 127 at Richview Road as 58-year old Linda Franzen hit a deer. On November 16th Cyrus Satorzadeh of Carbondale hit a deer at Route 127 and Richview Road. Then at approximately 11:30 PM, there were 2 accidents involving the same deer at Route 127 and Richview Road. 55-year old Dawn Ezell of Troy struck a deer and then 42-year old Cynthia Wilson of Nashville hit the deer. Finally, on Sunday, 50-year old Linda Clouse of Belleville hit a deer while going north on Route 127 about 100 feet south of Enterprise. Motorists should be extremely watchful for deer crossing roads and highways at this time of the year.
According to the Nashville Police Department, they responded to 8 accidents in the past couple of weeks. There were 3 accidents they responded to that did not involve a deer. According to the NPD reports, on November 6th, there was an accident at 3:23 PM at South Mill Street and East Gorman Street as 42-year old Tom Paszkiewicz of Nashville allegedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic and rear-ended a car driven by a 16-year old juvenile from Ashley. There was no mention of any injuries. On November 8th, at East Masonic Drive at South Kaskaskia Street, a vehicle driven by 18-year old Keegan Anderson of Hoyleton rear-ended a vehicle driven by 39-year old Crystal May of Nashville. Again, no one was injured. On November 14th at 3:41 PM at East Saint Louis Road and South Mill Street, at the 4-way lighted intersection, 28-year old Katherine Schubert of Nashville allegedly ran into the back of a car driven by 81-year old Letha Ferrero of Pinckneyville as they were going east through the intersection. No injuries were reported.
