There was a large fire at a vacant house off Mountain Lion Road near Conant in Perry County late Monday night.  According to the Pinckneyville Fire Department, they responded to the call at 10:19 PM to a 1-and-a half story home on fire.  There was some sort of explosion at the scene, possibly from a propane tank and the house is a total loss.  Crews were on scene until approximately 1 AM.  Culter and Willisville assisted at the scene.  The State Fire Marshall’s Office was on scene, but a cause for the fire could not be found at this time and is being ruled undetermined.   No one was injured.
