The Washington County Treasurer’s Office made a partial Real Estate Tax Distribution to the taxing districts last Friday.  The total amount was $9,428,865, which is approximately 50 percent of the total to be collected, as $7,542,879 was distributed earlier.  A total of 95 percent of the $18,860,405.90 has been collected.  Treasurer Ronda Groennert says payments were due by November 15^th and now those not made are delinquent and will be charged a 1 and a half percent penalty.  Reminders will be mailed out soon and certified letters will be mailed out on January 8, 2014.  At that time there will be an additional cost.  For more information on your status, contact the Treasurer’s Office at 618-327-4800, extension 315.
