Services will be Wednesday for Du Quoin’s former longtime mayor who promoted the yearly Illinois State Fair in that southern Illinois city.  Searby Funeral Home says 78-year-old John Rednour Senior died early yesterday at a Du Quoin hospital.  Rednour served as mayor of his 6,400-resident Perry County city for 24 years before stepping down earlier this year to tend to his health.  He had served as a county commissioner, chairman of the state’s Democratic Party and as a member of the Illinois State Police Merit Board.  Survivors include his wife of 61 years, two daughters and a son.  Services will be at 11 AM, Wednesday the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Du Quoin.
