The deadline has come and past for those wishing to run for election on the March ballot. It is not official, as there are some exceptions with write-ins and possible disputes on signatures accumulated, but as of now those running for Precincts in Washington County include only Democrat Len Piasecki for Ashley 1, Democrat Charles Schultz for Beaucoup, Democrat Tony Mayville for Bolo, Republican Harrison Rhine Junior as the only person for Covington, Democrat Luke Tomaszewski for DuBois 2, Democrat Dale R. Sachtleben for Hoyleton 1, Democrat Stanley Renth for Hoyleton 2, Democrat Gera L. Sims or Irvington 1, Democrat Kathy “Kate” Muenter for Irvington 2, George “Bud” Jebron for Lively Grove, Democrat Richard A. Schorfheide for Nashville 2, Republican Brian D. Heckert for Nashville 3, Democrat Peter R. Geppert and Republican Vernon Auld for Oakdale, Republican Matthew Riechmann and Democrat Timothy A. Dunnigan for Okawville 1, Republican Steven R. Fletcher for Pilot Knob, Democrat Arlene Skibinski for Richview and Republican Daniel R. Janowski for Venedy. So at this time there are no opponents for a precinct within the parties and a couple of races in the November election.
