A few weeks ago, candidates were able to file for the March 2014 election. There were some who were at the courthouse at the same time when the doors opened, so it was a tie as to who would have their name on the ballot first for that primary race. Yesterday, those that were tied were in a lottery held at the Washington County Clerk & Recorder’s Office. For Sheriff, Danny Bradac won, so he will be ahead of Michael Renth on the Republican ballot. In the Treasurer’s race for the Republican Party, Kelly Cameron won, so she will go ahead of Andrea Renken. In the Assessor’s race, previously an appointed position, Sharon Kolweier won, so her name will go ahead of fellow Republican Sharon Harre Mewes. These were the only 3 lotteries needed.
