A Perry County man pled guilty in federal district court to an indictment charging conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, according to the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, Stephen R. Wigginton.   On Wednesday, 50-year old Ty W. Dusch of DuQuoin, pled guilty to the one-count indictment charging conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.  The offense occurred between 2011 and June 2013 in Jackson and Perry Counties.  Evidence at the plea hearing established that Dusch and others were obtaining pseudoephedrine for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine.  When officers executed a search warrant at a Murphysboro residence where Dusch was staying, they located methamphetamine and methamphetamine-making materials.  Dusch faces a term of imprisonment of up to 20 years, to be followed by 3 years’ supervised release and a $1 million fine.  He is currently being held without bond pending an April 4, 2014, sentencing hearing.
