A federal judge could rule in March on a lawsuit aimed at preventing the closure of a southern Illinois center for the developmentally disabled.  The Belleville News-Democrat reports testimony in the case wrapped up Thursday in Chicago.  The suit was brought by advocates who are trying to block the closure of Centralia’s Murray Developmental Center.  The state wants to close the facility to save money and have more community-based care for people with disabilities.  On Thursday, lawyers for the Murray Parent Association argued Murray’s 250 residents have severe disabilities that only an institution can handle.  But lawyers for the state say the litigation is being fueled by employees who are worried about losing their jobs as well as guardians who aren’t open-minded about alternative living options.
