The Nashville Police Department answered 12 calls in the past week. There were 3 calls related to a domestic dispute on various days. There were also 3 calls in response to suspicious activity on various days, as well as a couple of welfare checks. There was an attempted break-in at a residence on the 600 block of West Walnut Street. There was 1 accident and that was on last Wednesday on South Mill Street, just north of East Park Drive. According to that report, a vehicle driven by 59-year old Vicki Barczewski of Nashville, struck a vehicle driven by 42-year old Angela Clark of Carterville. There were no injuries and no citations issued. They also made various traffic stops, but on Friday, they made a stop just before midnight at South Grand Avenue and West Chester Street on 19-year old Madeline M. Nelson of DuBois. The initial stop was for no tail lights and she was given a verbal warning, she was taken into custody on a charge of Driving While License Suspended.
