The Nashville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors met on Friday for their regular meeting. They approved of a move to keep members informed. Meetings from the regular meeting will be emailed out to the membership shortly after the meeting. Then, everyone will know what is going on in the Chamber, even if they do not attend the meeting. Executive Director Kerri Huge told the Board that she is getting the office ready for the next person, as she resigned last month and her final day is Friday, though she will help the new person. Donations for the Volunteer of the Year Banquet are coming in, but more items are needed. The nominations for the Volunteer of the Year are due in the office Tuesday and the general membership will vote on the winner on Wednesday at the general membership meeting. That meeting is at Buretta’s Bar and Grill beginning at noon. Tickets are still available for the Chamber’s Chicken and Beer Dane on Saturday, February 15th at the American Legion in Nashville. Music is by Bourbon Trail and it’s all you can eat chicken and beer or soda. There will also be a Wine Walk, much like a cake walk. Contact the Chamber office at 327-3700 for more information or for tickets. The Board also met for executive session to find a replacement for Huge as the Executive Director and hope to have interviews this week.
