The Nashville Police Department responded to 15 calls, as well as to multiple accidents.  Calls included a welfare check, a child custody dispute, a couple of domestic disturbances, suspicious persons walking around, as well as assisting the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on a burglary in process.  On Sunday, they responded to a fight in progress call on the 300 block of West Saint Louis Street just before 1 AM.  According to the report, 20-year old Cody Haps of Freeburg allegedly struck 24-year old Dustin Johnston of Nashville, causing injuries.  Haps allegedly also struck 19-year old Alexia Amther of Belleville.  He was taken into custody for Aggravated Battery, but more charges may be issued.  The Sheriff’s Office assisted the NPD.  They was a fender bender on the Nashville High School back parking lot, an accident on the eastbound off ramp of Interstate 64 at Route 127 a week ago in the mid afternoon.  According to the report, 75-year old Richard Tomaszewski allegedly caused an accident with 20-year old Chelsea Brammeier, both of Nashville.  Neither was injured and no citations were issued.  The NPD assisted the Sheriff’s Office with a semi-tractor trailer truck Tuesday night on the westbound off ramp of I-64 at Route 127, as the Swift Transportation truck was in the snow and close to turning over.  On Friday, there was an accident before 6 AM on the 17000 block of Mockingbird Road.  A semi tractor trailer truck driven by 46-year old John Wuebbles of Nashville was making a right turn going northeast, when the trailer became unhooked and collided with a car going west driven by 49-year old Martin Manion of Addieville.  There was no mention of injuries, but Wuebbles was cited for Unsafe Equipment and Manion was cited for Operating a Unisured Motor Vehicle.  There was an accident late Saturday morning on Route 127 by Dietrich Implements involving 2 drivers from Pinckneyville.  According to that report, 31-year old Mary Caldwell was traveling northeast on Route 127, but stopped for other stopped traffic.  She was allegedly hit in the rear of the car by a car driven by 17-year old Ellie Chapman, who didn’t see the stopped traffic.  There were no injuries in this accident.  About 7 hours later, the NPD responded to an accident at the intersection of South Washington Street and West Adams.  49-year old Monica Zapp of Nashville proceeded through the stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by 42-year old Julie Aulds of Nashville.  Aulds was taken to Washington County Hospital with injuries, but there was no mention of any citations.
