The Nashville Police Department responded to 14 calls in the past week, as well as responding to 3 accidents. There were a few domestic disputes to deal with, as well as a couple of welfare checks, some suspicious activity or person reports, a theft on the 500 block of West Walnut Street, a child custody dispute, a harassment report, some juveniles fighting and an intoxicated individual passed out in the Circle K restroom. Last Thursday, they responded to an accident on South Broadway and West Adams Street, as a vehicle driven by 48-year old Tracy Isaacs Junior of Mount Vernon, ran into the back of a vehicle driven by 81-year old Arnold Althoff of Nashville. There were no injuries reported. On Friday evening, there was a single car accident on Route 127, just south of Connecticut Road. The NPD assisted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, as 33-year old Sarah Shipton of Hamel, Illinois stated a white car was attempting to pass her on the ice and squeeze between her and another vehicle. She hit the brakes to avoid an accident, but slid off and hit a ditch embankment. Shipton refused treatment and no citations were issued. On Saturday, the NPD responded to the Innertech parking lot, as a vehicle driven by 30-year old Tacara Degley of Irvington struck a parked vehicle. There were no injuries, but Degley was cited for Operating a Vehicle with No Insurance and was given a verbal warning to notify the Secretary of State’s Office about a change of address.
