A coroner says an autopsy shows that a Southern Illinois University student found dead in a wooded area near the Carbondale school likely died of exposure to the cold.  Jackson County Coroner Thomas Kupferer says there’s no evidence of foul play in the death of 19-year old Pravin Varughese (VAHR’-geez).  Varughese’s body was found Tuesday, nearly a week after he went missing after a dispute with an acquaintance.  Carbondale Police Chief Jody O’Guinn has said the difficult terrain and low temperatures were believed to have contributed to Varughese’s difficulty finding his way out of the woods.  Kupferer says lab testing of Varughese’s blood samples is pending.  Varughese was a criminal justice major from suburban Chicago.
