And the battles continue in the effort to stop residents of the Warren G. Murray Developmental Center in Centralia from being moved.  The group “Equip for Equality” has filed a case in the Fifth Appellate Court in Mount Vernon, trying to strip the court appointed guardianship of Stewart Freeman.  Judge William Becker last year confirmed the appointment of Freeman to represent Murray residents who do not have private guardians, after questions arose regarding the representation they were receiving from the Office of State Guardian.  The appellate case will be held today with attorney Wiley Blair representing the Friends for Murray Center, which originally brought the case in Clinton County, where Freeman was initially appointed.
