The Kaskaskia College Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Program recently held their Annual Advisory Board Meeting.  Members of the Board discussed topics related to the most up to date training needed in the industry.  Modern Heating and Air Conditioning equipment are very efficient units and require more extensive troubleshooting skills than units from years ago.  The Board also discussed the new Associate’s Degree Program that is set to start in the Fall 2014 Semester.  The Kaskaskia College HVAC Program is currently waiting on ICCB approval for an Associate’s in Applied Science in HVAC.   Members of the board agreed that a degree program would be an asset to the student in regards to gaining employment.  The final agenda item was the Renovation to the current Crisp Center and HVAC area.  Board members were brought up to speed on the scheme of the building layout and what stage the project currently was in.
