On April 8, 2014, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, Stephen R. Wigginton, announced that 40-year old Allen W. Clover, Junior, 40-year old Carmen J. Clover and 51-year old Jimmy L. Richeson, all of Tilden, were charged by indictment with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. The offense occurred between 2012 and March 2014, in Jackson, Randolph and Saint Clair Counties. Carmen Clover was ordered held without bond pending a June 16, 2014, jury trial. Allen Clover had previously appeared in federal court and is on bond pending jury trial. Richeson has not yet made his initial appearance. The methamphetamine offense carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison, to be followed by 3 years’ supervised release and a fine of $1 million.
