Blakemore of Mount Vernon and issued him a ticket for Driving While License Revoked, as well as verbal warnings on an expired registration and illegal transportation – possession of alcohol.  The NPD also responded to a few accidents.  Last Monday, there was a two-vehicle accident on North Mill Street at East Second Street, as a car driven by 46-year old David Chamness of Cobden rear-ended a vehicle driven by 28-year old Leo Barczewski of Nashville, while he was trying to turn left.  On Wednesday, there was an accident at the intersection of Route 127 and Richview Road involving 2 vehicles.  A vehicle driven by 27-year old Ryan S. Prosise of Hoyleton, did not stop to allow a vehicle to turn onto Richview Road.  He lost control of his vehicle while trying to stop, and due to the weather, struck a car driven by 29-year old Travis A. Davis of Oakdale.  Last Thursday, they responded to a fender bender near the Secretary of State Driver License Facilty.  On Saturday, they responded to a call at Access Fitness on South Mill Street, that a truck pulling farm equipment had struck and damaged the mailbox and continued south on Route 127.  The Perry County Sheriff’s Office located the truck and stopped it.  The driver, 74-year old Charles Petry of DuQuoin, reported that he did not realize what he had done.  Nashville Police made an arrest on Saturday night at a residence on the 500 block of East Legion Drive.  According to the report, the owner found 19-year old John W. Wiggers in the residence, going through her property, when she got home.  Wiggers was taken into custody on charges of Residential Burglary and Criminal Trespass to a Residence.  Last month, on April 12th, the NPD arrested Wiggers on charges of Theft Under $500 and Criminal Defacement of Property Less Than $300.  His bond has been set at $1,500.  The charges stem from an incident on February 14th, when Wiggers allegedly took a bicycle belonging to David McClintock without authorization.  He then allegedly defaced the bike by painting it.
