The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was busy again this past week.  They responded to 1 accident that we reported yesterday, as well as assisting 4 motorists.  Deputies located 2 abandoned vehicles, assisted the Illinois State Police with traffic control, assisted an Okawville resident with a property exchange, took a report of criminal damage to property at a rural Okawville residence, reported to a call of telephone harassment from a rural Okawville resident, responded to a burglary in Hoyleton and made some arrests.  This included 25-year old Maurice Johnson of East Saint Louis on a Washington County warrant for Failure to Appear, as well as 27-year old Irene German of Washington Park on a Washington County warrant for Failure to Appear and 23-year old William Bastable of Pinckneyville was arrested on a Washington County warrant for Failure to Pay-Appear.
