Everyone is getting into the act of donating to their future in Washington County, including grade school students.  Kaskaskia College announced that Oakdale Grade School is supporting the KC Nashville Education Center Campaign, as they collected $70 in a County-Wide Hat Day where students paid $1 to wear a hat to school and all proceeds benefited the KC Nashville Campaign.  Superintendent Ryan Wamser said, “Overall our students and staff were very excited to participate in the county-wide hat day.  I choose to support this project on their behalf because of the outstanding opportunities that KC gives our students.  To have a center opening even closer to home will allow for our students at Oakdale to continue their post-high school education, whether it be towards an associate’s degree or towards a job training program.  We hope to continue to have a wonderful partnership with Kaskaskia College and continue to support each other in any way we can.”
