There was a severe thunderstorm that went through Washington County late yesterday afternoon and caused a power outage for Ameren and Tri County Electric Coop. There were over 3,700 Ameren customers and over 1,000 TCEC customers without power right away. Nearly 2,700 total in Nashville and over 1,000 in Okawville were affected. Initial reports were that a couple of power poles snapped in on Route 127 and Filmore Road, south of Nashville. Ameren reported that power was rerouted and switched to another load, so it came back on about 7:10 PM, while crews worked to put in new poles and get the lines back up. By late last night, they had all customers back up. TCEC still was reporting about 222 customers in Nashville, 70 in Oakdale and 8 in Addieville without power late last night, but this morning all were on.
