Precipitation was up again for June in Washington County, but not as much as in April’s 8 inches.  According to readings taken by the City of Nashville Water Plant, there were 5.5 inches of rain recorded, which is up from 3.11 inches in the May.   It is slightly less than the 5.6 inches last May.  The total rainfall amount to date is 20.82 inches for this year, compared to 28.99 at this time last year.  There was 1.36 inches of rain on June 24th and .9 inches of rain on the 11th.  High temperatures were in the 80s for the majority of the month while being in the 70s early in the month.  The high temperature in May was 90 degrees on June 19th through the 21st.  Low temperatures were mostly in the 60s with a few nights in the 50s, with the lowest being 51 degrees on June 14th.  Last year in June, the high was 92 and the low was also 51 degrees.  The average high temperature was 82.6 degrees with the average low temperature at 66.5 degrees for last month.
