The Washington County Board met Tuesday afternoon. Several reports from County Departments are provided and approved. The Ambulance and Rescue Service responded to 154 calls in June, down nearly 50 calls from May, but still the 3rd highest amount in 7 months. They have responded to 1,097 since December 1st. The County Clerk & Recorder Office offers several services for a fee to residents of the county and other outside agencies, such as certified birth certificates, licenses and recording fees. In June, they had revenues of $37,878.25 from these fees. The Sheriff’s report showed they made 10 arrests, issued 104 tickets and 91 warnings during all their calls throughout the county. They had 50 people in the Washington County Jail at one time or another in the month of June. They also responded to 146 calls last month. Of those calls, 14 involved an accident, 19 involved assisting a motorist, 17 were disputes, 15 were assisting another law enforcement agency and 21 involved an investigation of some kind.
