The Nashville Police took 35-year old Robert V. Abernathy of Nashville into custody last Monday night, as they responded to a call on the 300 block of West High Street.  He allegedly resisted a peace officer, knowing the officer was in the line of duty, while he also allegedly shook his fist at the officer and then swung it at him.  He was charged with Aggravated Assault and Resisting Arrest, but was bailed out afterwards.
