The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was busy with several arrests, but they only responded to 3 accidents and assisted 1 motorist.  Other calls included removing debris from roads, assisted the Okawville Police with an arrest on Interstate 64, reported to a suspicious vehicle in Richview, ticketed 28-year old Nikolas J. Walker of Ashley for Possession of a Hypodermic Needle during a traffic stop in Ashley, responded to a call that Corey Dintelman had tools and other items taken from his vehicle, conducted a welfare check at a residence in Addieville, assisted the Okawville Police with a traffic stop on I-64 and assisted a pedestrian on Highway 127 near Richview Road.  They assisted the Illinois State Police on that accident involving a car and semi last Monday that sent 2 Mount Carmel residents to a local hospital.  There was a one-vehicle accident on Friday as 23-year old Nathaniel R. Wroblewski of Florissant, Missouri ran into a bridge on Lebanon Road.  He sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Saint Louis University Hospital.  They also responded to an accident on Sunday on DuBois Road near Highway 51, as a vehicle driven by 31-year old Roderick R. Davis of DuBois struck an embankment.  There were no injuries reported.  Yesterday morning, there was an accident on Highway 15, east of Route 153, as a vehicle driven by 88-year old Ruby Davis of Chicago ran off the road.  She and her passenger, 87-year old Essie Blackwell, also of Chicago, were not injured.  They were taken back to their hotel were family would come and get them.  The Washington County Sheriff’s Office also made some arrests this past week.  One involved a domestic dispute at a residence in Ashley.  32-year old Bradley Sanders of Ashley allegedly struck a person under the age of 13, while in the presence of others.  He was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery and Aggravated Battery.  Bond has been set at $20,000 and Sanders is not allowed to have contact of any kind with the victim upon his release.  On Saturday, deputies also took 24-year old Cody Northington of Hoyleton into custody for Criminal Trespass, Possession of Cannabis and on a Washington County warrant for Failure to Appear.  That same day they took 21-year old Brian Johnsey of Oakdale into custody on a Burglary charge, after reporting to a burglary in Oakdale.  As a result of the investigation, Johnsey was apprehended.  They arrested 44-year old Brian Nowakowski of DuBois on a Perry County warrant and he was remanded to their custody.  Also, 27-year old Tiffany Musielak of Marissa was taken to the Washington County Jail.  Deputies arrested 37-year old Rhonda Lietz of Nashville on a Washington County warrant for Failure to Appear.  41-year old Jason Vaughn of Culter was transported from the Perry County Jail to the Washington County Jail to be held on a Failure to Appear on a Domestic Battery charge.
