The Washington County Sheriff’s Office was busy with several arrests in the past week.  On very early Saturday morning, deputies initiated a stop at Park and Maple Streets on 24-year old Cody Northington of Hoyleton, while in Hoyleton and cited him for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol at that time.  Then, a couple of hours later, they found him to allegedly trying to break into Kretzer’s Grill & Bar in Hoyleton through the back door.  He was apprehended and he was also allegedly in possession of a substance containing cannabis.  He is awaiting the formal filing of charges of Criminal Trespass and Possession of Cannabis, as well as for a Washington County warrant for Failure to Appear.  That same day they took 21-year old Brian Johnsey of Oakdale into custody on a Burglary charge, after an investigation.  According to the report, on or about June 29th, Johnsey allegedly entered a shed belonging to Ethan Alfeldt on the 500 block of Old Nashville Road in Oakdale and then tried to take a stove valued at less than $500.  He was apprehended on charges of Burglary and Theft.  His bond is set at $30,000.
