The Ashley Grade School Board of Education met Monday night and Superintendent Brian Hodge says there enrollment is at 175, which is very close to what it was at the end of the school year. He presented the Tentative Budget and it will be available for viewing for 30 days. There will be a public hearing on it at 5:20 PM on September 29th with the regular meeting to begin after that, at approximately 5:30. He says they are looking at being in the black on some of their funds, but again it is tentative and they may have to amend it at the end of the school year. They also passed a memorandum on where to put newly hired 2nd & 3rd Grade teacher, Roxanna Crain, on the salary schedule, which is dependent on her teaching experience and years of service.
