FMC Water Company continues to search for a major water leak that is consuming approximately 200,000 gallons of water each day. In an attempt to narrow FMC’s search, portions of the water company’s service area will experience a water outage from 9 AM today until 6 AM tomorrow.  Any customer that experiences a water outage during that time will automatically be placed on a precautionary boil order until further notice.  It is recommended that water intended for culinary use be boiled for five minutes.  FMC is asking customers to notify their neighbors to be on watch for a water leak.  Also please notify them of the possible water outage and pending boil order.  It is not known at this time the exact areas that will experience the outage.  The FMC service area is one mile north of Odin, from Interstate 57 on the east, to the eastern portion of Clinton County on the west and north.  Please call 775-6339, or 292-5092, or email the FMC Water Office at fmcwater@hughes.net, to check for water leak and boil order updates.
