For the 2nd time in just under 2 weeks, there was a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday at the corner of Routes 15 and 127 in Nashville, site of the new Roll N Up Smoke and Liquor Shop. KarCo owner, Holly Kruep tells WNSV that they were not selling gas to keep up with the competition in town, so they decided to change the store to Roll N Up, which they have been doing in other towns as well with 11 stores. She talks about what is the same and what is new, as they still have the fountain drinks, newspapers and coffee for your morning, cigarettes and beer, but at much larger selections, including crafts and imports, as well as a larger selection of wine and much larger selection of liquor, along with plenty of bag tobacco for roll your own cigarettes and premium cigars. So, they took what they had in the store and expanded it. They opened by Memorial Day weekend and have been open 7 days a week since then. Kruep says when redoing the store, they also wanted to redesign it. She has driven through and worked in Nashville for years and always thought it was a Rockwellian town and she wanted to respect the look of downtown, so she wanted it to look really nice and more retro as a new building would stick out. The Mayor and plenty of Chamber of Commerce members were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony to kick off the weekend.
